标识设计中的中国元素略议

Abstract:

Drawing on concrete examples, this paper discussion the use of Chinese elements-especially Chinese Characters and cultural artifacts-in logo design. It argues that under the context of globalization, logo designs incorporating, Chinese elements should follow certain evaluation criteria. At the most basic level, they should be recognizable as Chinese characters or Chinese cultural artifacts while also maintaining other easily identifiable forms. In interpretation, such designs should convey cultural connotations, but excessive over-interpretation should be avoided.

戴吾三（1953—），男，湖北麻城籍，生长于山东。科学史博士，清华大学科技史暨古文献研究所原副所长，研究员；清华大学深圳国际研究生院教授，兼任南方科技大学社会科学高等研究院客座研究员，德国柏林大学访问学者。长期从事科技史、科技文化、科技遗产教学与研究。校外兼任《遗产》《产业与科技史研究》编委、中国机械遗产审查组特聘专家、《中国工业史》丛书审稿专家等职。个人主要著作有《考工记图说》《影响世界的发明专利》《汉字里的中华科技》《中国古代科技遗产》，合著有《科学与艺术》等，译著《手艺中国》获第八届文津图书奖推荐图书奖。
